eSIM for Egypt: what you need to know

Carriers, coverage in the resorts and why it pays to install the eSIM at home.

Egypt is the most visited long-haul destination for Czechs. Hotels usually have wifi, but outside them you need mobile data: for maps, taxi apps and messages.

Who provides the signal

Three carriers mainly operate in Egypt: Vodafone, Orange and Etisalat (now e&). Our eSIMs connect to their networks. Coverage is good in big cities and in the main resorts; in the desert and in remote places expect drop-outs.

Why eSIM before you fly

A local SIM is usually registered to your passport, and at the airport it is often sold with a delay. With an eSIM you can handle the installation at home. After landing you switch it on and you are online.
